We decided to buy a good Black Russian Terrier bitch so that in the future we would have a nice bitch to show and eventualy take a litter from so we contacted Irina Ivanyuk of the famous Russian Dynasty Kennels in Moscow. After a lot of negotiations we decided to bring a dog and bitch as there were two available with absolutely superb bloodlines and they would then have each other for company in quarantine. We found absolutely brilliant quarantine kennels in Yorkshire so on the 13th December 2005 Zarnitsa Iz Russkoi Dinastii and Dorian Iz Russkoi Dinastii arrived at the quarantine kennels.
Irina has been so helpful and obliging, we are completely indebted to her for such superb puppies with first class bloodlines, we now cannot wait to get them home.
Our thanks to Fran Glendinning at Brierley Kennels for looking after them as her own, our thanks also to Mike Gadsby and his partner Lisa Bryant for the excellent grooming job they have done for us.
We had the pleasure of meeting our first Russian Black Terrier 4 years or so ago at a show in Scotland. His name was Nemo and belongs to my friend Jackie Ferrigan. We instantly fell in love with the Russian Black Terrier. At that time we were actively showing Bulldogs (www.wonderbullbulldog.co.uk). Then, 2 years later, we got our very first Russian Black Terrier, a bitch called Lottie - Clanheir Prima Donna. A year later we got Clarence, Clanheir The Invincible, born on the 7th of March 2005.
We fell in love with the breed, Russian Black Terriers are such big docile dogs and they have become our soulmates. We have had great fun showing these dogs and are now concentrating on showing Clarence.
We thought he was a bit special from the very first day and we have had him photographed professionally every month to chart his progress and you will be able to see these photos on Clarence’s own growing up page.
At 9 months, Clarence achieved his good citizen bronze award.
The Russian Black Terrier is a brilliant breed to share your life with.
